Harbinger’s John Armstrong has been working as Cultural Producer for three of the six Great Get Together events to be presented as part of the G20 Cultural Celebrations. These events in some of Brisbane’s most picturesque and spacious suburban parks will provide communities with opportunities to participate in a range of events and activities, as well as enjoy culturally diverse food and entertainment.
John developed curatorial direction to engage residents and provide an affordable day out. The events will offer a range of culinary, creative and active opportunities to fuel minds and bodies. The events will be designed to also offer social spaces for meeting and interacting. The events will be dynamic mixes of local community groups and artists offering opportunities to create, discover and play. It’s all about trying new things in our familiar communities – an obstacle course, origami, geocaching, magic tricks, stories, silent disco, kite making and more … There’s something for everyone in these family friendly events.
