EXHIBITION | Architecture and the City, QUT

This semester, Linda has been tutoring Architecture and the City, a subject offered as part of the architecture program in the School of Design. In this subject, led by Dr Mirko Guaralda, students develop a detailed theoretical and practical understanding of urban morphology. They will be presenting the results of their first project next week in the City Exhibition, opening on the 22 April 2015 at noon in J block at QUT Gardens Point and running until 1 May on the mezzanine in J212/213.

This year, Linda is again working with students analysing African cities, which are challenging and complex environments. Other students groups are working on Asian, Latin American, European, American and Australian cities. The students will be presenting their analyses of the urban morphology of these cities, including a presentation (incorporating their detailed studies in visual and written forms) and a model.

This is a free event and open to all. During the opening event, students will present an overview of their analysis and findings.
