Culture + Complexity + Change

EVENT | G20 Innovation Hub

Between November 11-14, leaders and change makers from all over the world will gather together to share social business ideas and strategies in Brisbane as part of the G20 Innovation Hub: Beyond Business as Usual. We’re pleased to be supporting this event – and social enterprise – by volunteering at the Innovation Marketplace.

The G20 Innovation Hub is running parallel to the G20 and B20 leaders’ summit in Brisbane and will be a festival of interaction and education, full of real world examples of social outcomes and existing symbiotic relationships between business, government and community.

Presented by Wise Foundation and Social Outcomes, this event showcases social enterprises operating in Brisbane, nationally and internationally. The program includes:

  • The Innovation Marketplace will operate daily as the epicentre of the Hub and is free for all to enjoy. There will be more than 20 organisations showcasing their innovative projects to demonstrate how social enterprises operate in the real world.
  • The Light Lunch Lecture Series will feature lunch-sized lectures and live panels featuring academic and industry leaders. Registered attendees will get to enjoy a lunch prepared by chef Matt Golinski.
  • The St. George Innovation Dinners will be an exclusive opportunity for guests to become part of ‘Australia’s social innovation community’, build networks and gain expert insight in the lead up to the G20 Summit.

The G20 Innovation Hub will be located at The Gardens Club, Brisbane City Botanic Gardens and will run from Tuesday 11 November until Friday 14 November. More information online at http://g20innovationhub.wordpress.com.
