FUNDING | Regional Development Australia Fund

The Australian Government’s Regional Development Australia Fund (RDAF) is a new program to support infrastructure needs in both regional and urban areas across the country. Open to local government and not-for-profit organisations, the RDAF will fund infrastructure projects which provide significant economic and social outcomes, and build on unique regional opportunities. Applications for the first round close on 13 May and funding will roll out from 1 July 2011. Please visit  http://www.rdabrisbane.org.au for details.

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Brisbane will play an important role in the RDAF, as any project applications for Brisbane must align with our Regional Roadmap, which outlines regional priorities. To this end, two information sessions will be presented on 20 April in Brisbane to help potential applicants gain a better understanding of the program, and the process by which to engage with RDA Brisbane when developing project applications.

WEDNESDAY 20 APRIL 2011:
Northside Information Session (Paddington) – 9.30 for 10.00am to 12 noon
Southside Information Session (Upper Mount Gravatt) – 2.00 for 2.30pm to 4.30pm
Cost: Nil

Invitations have also been extended to State Government and other agencies with programs that may be complementary to potential RDAF funded projects.
