Culture + Complexity + Change

PLACE | Fitzgibbon Chase in PlaceNews

The most recent issue of PlaceNews showcases the Fitzgibbon Chase display village. This includes acknowledgement of the tuned railings public project curated, commissioned and project managed by Harbinger Consultants: “Another feature of the park is three pieces of public art commissioned especially for Fitzgibbon Chase and guaranteeing music in the air. The art pieces take the form of sets of railings for a bridge and walkways. While they’re functional, they’re also interactive, playing music when something such as a stick is run along them. One set even plays ‘Eine kleine Nacht Musik’ (A little night music) for Mozart fans. The three pieces are a specific tribute to Fitzgibbon Chase because the artists were inspired by the bushland surrounding the site.” The report is accompanied by a beautiful photo of a youngster making music with the set of railings set over the expansive park.
