SYMPOSIUM | Writing Architecture

Linda recently received confirmation that she will be speaking at the Writing Architecture symposium to be held later in the year. With the number and quality of submissions, from all over the world, reported as being very high, Linda is thrilled to be able to participate in this event.

Keynote speakers include Professor Katja Grillner of the School of Architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden; also John Birmingham, essayist, novelist and popular historian, and author of Leviathan and He Died With a Felafel in His Hand; also Gavin Hipkins, world-renowned photographer of buildings and places, who is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Convened by Dr Naomi Stead of the ATCH (Architecture|Theory|Criticism|History) Research Centre in the School of Architecture at The University of Queensland, with financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland. The symposium will be help at the State Library of Queensland and GOMA on 22 & 23 July 2010

More information on the detailed schedule will be released as it is finalised. In the meantime, keep an eye on the conference website at http://www.uq.edu.au/atch/writingarchitecture for developments.
