Culture + Complexity + Change

PROJECT | PlaceBlog

In the research process for the Placing project, I’ve realised that a blog will facilitate documentation, notetaking, sharing ideas and writing. The blog has become a thing, even a process, we think with. So I have now started a blog, PlaceBlog, at the Placing website.

Many of those who have submitted work for Placed share a desire to encourage greater interdisciplinary awareness, conversation and exchange across planning, design, architecture, art and community practices. PlaceBlog will start to present some of the submissions and ideas for the project. The purpose is to develop a reasonable overview of what is happening in Australian cities, communities and places. I encourage you to look at and add comments to this forum. The blog continues the publication experiment of Placing, which will evolve along other trajectories and spill into other online environments. Online publication (and I mean this in the looser sense of making something public) is ‘formless’ and the project will make most advantage of that.

I hope you will RSS, comment etc and keep in touch with the Placing project.
