Thanks to the internet and the proliferation of learning and conversation opportunities there’s never been a better time for accessing, linking and learning about a broad range of ideas. Other than the plethora of free publications, there are also a range of online conferences and webinars that provide a networking and learning environment. There are also all kinds of smaller scale events, conferences and camps in innovative formats for sharing ideas and innovations. This weekend past, we caught snippets of the webcast and Twitter stream of Brisbane’s TEDx event. In the near future, we’ll be participating in several online conferences and forums including:
- V-Gathering Future Festival, 26-27 October. This will include presentations about futures and foresight methods; insights from art, design and architecture; crazy futures; and building a futures careers.
- World Town Planning Day Online Conference 2011 is themed Going Public: Spaces in our Communities,1-2 November. Speakers from around the world – Canada, USA, Dubai, China, and many more.
